In Memory...

Jon Paul      1976—2006

District Director 2003-2006

You held my hand when I was crying.

You saved me once when I was dying.

You protected us while we slept.

Very few care to that depth.

You taught us how to be the best;

Now it’s your turn, our friend, to finally rest.

It seems the time you were with us was the blink of an eye.

We will never forget you; we won’t even try.

Though reason can’t find us and questions remain,

We’ll hold onto your legacy and fly through the pain.

Smile down at us with that unforgettable grin.

Keep us safe until we see you again

In the place where tired rescuers go.

A beautiful life that came to an end;

He died as he lived — everyone’s friend.

In our hearts a memory will always be kept

Of one we loved and will never forget.
